Fair Elections Now Act gathers steam

The Fair Elections Now Act reached a milestone recently as the 100th member of the U.S. House of Representatives signed on to H.R.1826.

The bipartisan act, which was introduced by Representative John Larson, a Connecticut Democrat, and Walter Jones, a North Carolina Republican, offers an alternative to current campaign finance system by allowing candidates to run for Congress with small contributions and public grants. Its goal is to eliminate candidates’ reliance on big money contributors.

In response, Fair Elections Now Coalition – which includes groups such as the Brennan Center for Justice, Change Congress, Democracy Matters and U.S. Public Interest Research Group – released a statement suggesting the ongoing healthcare, energy and financial regulation debates are exposing the extent to which the legislative process in the U.S. has become dominated by powerful interest groups spending millions of dollars lobbying in Washington.

“It’s apparent now more than ever that the only way to have a healthy, balanced debate is to free members of Congress from the constant pressures of fundraising,” it stressed.

H.R.1826 provides a public grant to those who qualify by collecting a set number of contributions in amounts of up to $100. Once qualified, the candidates can continue to raise small contributions that are matched on a four-to-one basis up to a limit.

The Senate has also introduced its version of the Fair Elections Now Act (S. 752) which is sponsored by Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin of Illinois and Senator Arlen Specter, a Pennsylvania Democrat.

Can “We the People” Really Unite?

The international “left” led by the Chicago Cabal currently engaged in a full frontal assault on all American principles, values and individual rights, fear only one thing…. The U.S. Charters of Freedom! That’s because the Charters of Freedom are the ONLY thing standing in the way of total Global Socialist control of the Unites States of America…

They fear only one group… The American patriots who are willing to stand and fight for the Charters of Freedom!

But they aren’t too worried yet, and that’s why no matter how many patriots protest on the steps of Washington DC offices, they march full speed ahead in their efforts to ram ‘Cap and Trade,’ socialized medicine, amnesty for illegals and global climate scams down the throats of US citizens.

They aren’t worried yet because divided across more than 2000 individual grassroots organizations and moving in a hundred different directions, the patriots cannot muster the collective power to put a stop to the current march into unbridled Marxism followed by national bankruptcy.

The left won’t tremble, until they see the people uniting in opposition! Not even RNC leadership is worried yet, demonstrated by Michael Steele’s foolishly cavalier mocking of Tea Party folks in response to media questions about conservatives and constitutionalists “RINO hunting” in the upcoming elections.

Good News about the People

Five days ago on November 2, 2009, a team of patriots helped me establish a pledge site, www.FreedomForce.us, which is designed to gauge just how ready “the people” really are to accept the call to unite in the common cause of freedom and liberty.

A deadline date of November 11^th was established as a target date to gauge support for a nationwide patriot initiative that would operate not in place of, but in addition to all of the local and regional grassroots initiatives already underway across the land.

The pledge goal for a “top-down” nation wide strategy was $10,000,000 …

Early results indicate that more time may be needed to get to the magic pre-launch number, but that $10,000,000 may be an extremely conservative figure, as millions of patriots appear to be willing to pledge a lot more than $100 apiece in the effort.

Quite clearly, the people are READY to UNITE! People are pledging from all walks of life and all 50 states… They understand the need to stand united!

What about Leaders of the regional Grassroots Organizations?

We have been contacted by many of the Tea Party – 912 and town hall organizations as well, and will soon make some announcements about early signs of partnering with several key groups.

Others know that while there may be no operational benefit in direct partnering, there are still benefits in working together in common on different facets of both “bottom-up” and “top-down” strategies that only compliment each other and make both more effective.

But a few seem somehow threatened by any initiative to unite the masses, as if such an effort threatens their hold on a piece of the world, even though we encourage ALL patriot organizations to stay focused upon and engaged in their individual initiatives, while we work together on a nationwide campaign at the same time.

Several wanted us simply to shift our strategy and funding to their individual organizations. But doing so with any existing organization would immediately raise the question among all others, why didn’t you choose us? The division would begin on this basis alone and this is no way to unite the masses in a cohesive unit able to succeed together.

Early Signs of Unity

With very few details released about the plan, the people are still excited about the possibility of uniting all patriots nationwide in a single, tangible, targeted and immediate “game-changer” strategy. The early returns are very impressive.

Many of the organizations across the country are also showing early signs of interest in working together on a national strategy while local and regional grassroots initiatives continue.

Our greatest challenge at this moment is the fact that our message has not yet gone “viral.”

Our message is certainly resonating with patriots all across the country, but we have not yet broken through and reached the masses with our message.

If only thousands of patriots unite in the common cause of freedom and liberty, the load on each patriot is too much to bear. In order to make our strategy a reality, our message must reach millions of patriots. Our story MUST go “viral…”

Simple Math = Simple Strategy

The more complex the problem – the more simple the solution must be. Complex solutions are never fully implemented.

Keep it simple… 1 million patriots can raise $100,000,000 real fast, at only an average donation of $100 each. 10 million patriots can raise a BILLION.

60,000,000 US citizens voted against this Marxist garbage a year ago and even more oppose it today, now that they can see the Marxist agenda with their own eyes… Where have they all gone? Have they given up freedom without a fight?

Do the math. While you have your calculator out, figure the odds of surviving the current administration as the following headlines continue to pour onto the front pages…

The global Left has only controlled the U.S. government for a little more the ten months and already, we can’t afford to leave them in power for another day…

What is your freedom worth?

How do you plan on ending the hourly assault on individual liberty while you still can?

Will people who won’t pick up their wallets to save freedom be counted upon to take up arms when all peaceful solutions have failed?

If not the Freedom Force strategy, then behind what strategy will we all unite?

These are the questions that American patriots must ask themselves today. The battle line is not drawn down partisan lines, or at the borders that separate the many patriot movements today. It isn’t a matter of race, economic status or a plethora of special interest issues.

The battle line separates U.S. citizens into only TWO groups… those ready to take a stand for the Charters of Freedom and those willing to let those principles and value vanish into the political boneyard of ideas cast aside.

www.FreedomForce.us is an effort to unite all who stand for the Charters of Freedom in an effort to return those fundamental concepts to their rightful place as the supreme law of this land.

May God have mercy on a people unable to rally around those basic ideas today, no matter the excuses. When our children and grandchildren read in history books about how our generation let freedom die, no excuse will be good enough.

We either find a way to unite in a hurry, or we won’t like what history has to say about our generation. The people ARE ready to unite. Group leaders need to make sure that they are working with all fellow patriots, not working against each other.

If the nation cannot rally around the Charters of Freedom, then the nation can’t rally against a fascist international regime of socialist thugs eager to end individual freedom in America.

I call upon every freedom loving American to join the Freedom Force initiative. Make a pledge of support and then help us share this message with every American. Divided, we are finished. But united, the left is no match for the powers of freedom. Unite with all other freedom loving patriots today!

Owens Wins In NY 23rd

Hi Tea Partiers,

This election season saw an incredible race in the 23rd District of New York. I will spare you all the details and get right to the point.

Doug Hoffman garnered massive support from the Tea Party movement and largely from outside of the NY23rd. In fact, almost none of his campaign contributions were from inside “his” district and I put that in quotes because the man does not even LIVE in the District.

Is this the kind of candidate the Tea Party really wants to support. He actually said outloud, in public that he had no idea what the top local issues were.

Is it just me or does something not seem right here.

I want a government of the people. Specifically the people OF the district. This is bad. Real bad. The Tea Party movement needs to decide what it stands for and it had better get a message boiled down into about five bullet points or this entire movement will have been for nothing.

We cannot “take back” our government like this.

Christie Wins in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. — Republican Chris Christie has defeated Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine in New Jersey.

With 71 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday night, Christie had 50 percent of the vote to Corzine’s 44 percent.

Christie, a 47-year-old former federal prosecutor, became the first member of his party in a dozen years to win a statewide contest in heavily Democratic New Jersey.

The Republican victory deals a blow to President Barack Obama as he readies for next year’s midterm elections. Obama campaigned heavily for Corzine.

Christie accepted public financing in the race against the wealthy incumbent and was outspent by more than $12 million.

He ran on a platform of smaller government and criticized Corzine for what he called poor economic stewardship. State unemployment was nearly 10 percent in October and property taxes are the nation’s highest.

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Republican Chris Christie took an early lead in a tight New Jersey governor’s race against Democratic incumbent Jon Corzine, with an Associated Press exit poll showing independent voters strongly favoring the GOP candidate.

With 44 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday night, Christie had 49 percent of the vote and Corzine about 44. Independent candidate Chris Daggett, originally feared as a potential spoiler, had about 5 percent.

Voters had their pick between Corzine, the unpopular incumbent who had help from President Barack Obama, and Christie, a blunt-talking former federal prosecutor who vowed to rein in taxes.

Obama endorsed Corzine in five campaign appearances, including a rally in the state’s largest city on Sunday, two days before the election. Corzine faced a strong challenge from Christie, who has campaigned on a platform of smaller government but has been criticized for ethical lapses.

Daggett, a former Environmental Protection Agency administrator, appeared to be out of the race after the AP exit poll showed him in the single digits.

The poll suggested the state’s voters were not thrilled with their choices. No more than about half the voters had favorable opinions of any of the candidates.

Independent voters gave President Barack Obama a huge advantage in the state last year, but they strongly favored Christie on Tuesday.

Voters said their top concerns were the economy and jobs, followed by property taxes.

Voters who said the economy was important favored Corzine, while voters who said taxes mattered most supported Christie, according to the exit poll. About two in five voters said none of the three candidates had a good plan to reduce property taxes.

Jackie Booth, an unaffiliated voter from Hamilton, said concerns over wasteful spending and taxes drove her decision to vote for Christie.

New Jersey voters haven’t elected a Republican statewide in a dozen years, and a Christie victory would sting the president heading into next year’s midterm elections. Obama carried New Jersey by 15 percentage points last year.

The president made the case for Corzine over the weekend, urging 11,000 supporters in Newark to show the commitment to the incumbent they showed Obama last year.

The president’s appeal worked for Roger Johnson, a 50-year-old restaurant employee from Cherry Hill who said he had qualms with Corzine but voted for him anyway.

“I went in to help the president. I wasn’t going to vote for Corzine,” said Johnson, a registered Republican who usually votes for Democrats. “But I did.”

But many voters are disenchanted with Corzine, a former Goldman Sachs CEO who failed to deliver property tax relief to the middle-class.

He froze property taxes for senior citizens and provided rebates for low-income residents, but taxes remain the nation’s highest, averaging $7,045 per household.

Christie has been criticized for remaining vague about how he would solve the state’s chronic financial problems.

The only other governor’s race this year is in Virginia, where the Republican won.

The exit poll of 1,872 New Jersey voters was conducted for the AP by Edison Research in a random sample of 40 precincts statewide. Results were subject to sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, higher for subgroups.

Republicans Sweep Virginia

Republicans are enjoying their first big win in years, taking the governor’s seat tonight in Virginia for the first time since 1997.

The Republican Governors Association sees it as the beginning of a Republican renaissance.

“Bob McDonnell’s victory gives Republicans tremendous momentum heading into 2010,” RGA Chairman Haley Barbour said in a statement. “Virginia is an important swing state that had been trending blue for 12 years.”

“Bob McDonnell proves that when Republicans campaign on solutions to the challenges on voters’ minds, we win,” he added. “His focus on ideas and pocketbook issues will serve as a model for Republicans running next year.”

The Lt. Governors Race is also going Republican as well as the Attorney General and several house seats in Virginia. A Big move to the Right in Virginia and a sign of things to come nationwide.

Election Day and the Lame Stream Media Still Gets it Wrong

Hi Tea Partiers,

Here it is, election day and the lame stream media still can’t figure out what the movement is all about.
We tell them and tell them and still… they get it all wrong.

First we were the racist Tea Bagging Rednecks, now they think we are “fracturing” the Republican Party.

I look forward to more and more spin as “they” continue to try and marginalize the Tea Party, Freedom and 9-12 movements.

Here is what they need to understand.

We are done with big government Democrats & Republicans.

No to ObamaCare, No to Bail-Outs and No to Deficit Spending… is that so hard to understand?

We belive in the Charters of Freedom that made this country the greatest nation in the history of the world and we are not going to give up on the principles that made this country what it is.

Personal Freedom, Free Markets and the Rights of Individuals are what really matters to us.

Both major parties have been on the gravy train for far, far too long and this little joy ride is coming to an end.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again.

We, The Tea Partiers Are Coming. We are coming for both parties and no one is “safe”.

If you want to watch America go down the tubes, you are at the wrong site. If you want to be involved in the next great American Revolution… Welcome. We need all the help we can get.

God Bless America and the Tea Parties determined to restore it’s greatness.

Tea Partiers Coming for the GOP… Dede Drops OUT!

Hi Tea Partiers…

It was just the other day when I heard Rush Limbaugh spouting off at the mouth about how the GOP was gonna destroy the democrats in the next elections. I thought to myself that he could be seriously mistaken.

I have been telling people for months that the biggest surprise in the next elections will be the republicans being unseated by Tea Party candidates… and the first to fall is Republican Dierdre “Dede” Scozzafava.

The race for the 23rd Congressional District in NY has been a hotbed of speculation as it is the first real test in the new era of American politics. So let the truth be told.

Dede got whacked because she represents everything that is wrong with the Republican Party. She was a liberal in conservative clothes and she got what she deserved.

More importantly and equally as shocking is how out of touch the Republican Party is to have actually run her as their candidate.

On a laughable note… Newt Gingrich endorsed her!

Lesson number 1: The Republicans are in every bit as much trouble with the Tea Parties as the Democrats are… even more because they should have known better.

It comes down to this. If you are a Congressman or a Senator and you voted for the Patriot Act. Cap-n-Trade, Bail-Outs, or the Health Care Reform among the many unconstitutional acts coming out of Washington… WE ARE COMING FOR YOU!

It is however, not too late to save yourself. You can join our movement … albeit at the back of the line because you’ll have much to prove. I suggest you get started.
